Revenue for the month ending September 31, 2009, increased 100 percent over the same period in 2008, orders increased 50% and conversions were up 83%. Q3 results showed an 81% increase in revenue verses the same period last year, while orders were up 42% and conversions were up 83%. The company credits strong sales for cleaning and flu supplies, such as Purell wipes, hand sanitizers and disinfectants, as well as measures such as revised pricing and shipping models for the increase. “By continuing to refine the customer experience and rebuilding the site’s pricing and shipping model to engage and convert customers with larger orders, we’ve seen the average order spend increase by 30% and the number of larger orders increase by 75%.,” said Jennifer DiMotta, VP of marketing for ReStockIt.com The new site structure, including a new taxonomy, new search, guided navigation and streamlined checkout all help the customers find what they want faster and purchase their items more efficiently, she added. September marks the fifth consecutive record revenue month for the online retailer.
