May 2009 revenue outperformed the company’s May 2008 revenue by 48%, while order counts in May saw an increase of 27% YOY. The company reported strong results in disposable dinnerware (plastic plates, plastic forks, etc.), paper towels and other discount party supplies. Technology was also a strong contributor to the revenue record due to electronics discounts and surplus sales. Sales from gardening tools and storage such as Arrow, Duramax and Rubbermaid sheds also contributed to the record numbers.
In addition to the record revenue month, ReStockIt.com announced new additions to its marketing team.
Jennifer DiMotta has joined the company as Vice President of Marketing. Ms. DiMotta has more than 10 years Internet marketing experience in the retail sector. She is responsible for managing all marketing channels, pricing and shipping strategies, product selection and merchandising and web design and usability at ReStockIt.com. Before joining ReStockIt.com, Ms. DiMotta served as Director of Internet Marketing at PHE, Inc., and has held similar positions at Netshops, Inc., and Giftcertificates.com. Ms. DiMotta has a proven marketing success track record and has lead teams to 100% year over year growth in revenue and profits.
Along with Ms. DiMotta, new additions to the marketing department include Andrew Krier, merchandising manger, and Kesha Roberts, marketing coordinator. Previously with Office Depot, Mr. Krier manages the company’s merchandising, pricing, shipping and product content strategies. Ms. Roberts, who has several years of direct and Internet marketing experience, manages the company’s affiliate programs.
