The Hot Spare Inventory Management program maintains a complete inventory of fully-functional units, drives and parts for your use. The cost of these additional units (usually a minimum of 2-4% of the number deployed) can be included in the program cost or purchased as part of the Toughbook purchase order. Should a Toughbook require maintenance or replacement, Panasonic will ship a replacement unit to you, fully loaded with the appropriate operating system and software, regardless of your location, for arrival the next day (or, in many instances, the same day). You can then ship the problematic unit to Panasonic, where it will be repaired and then stored in inventory or returned to the original user. No matter what part or unit you need, Panasonic has a complete inventory ready to ship for fast replacement or repair.
