You call IBM to request service and, if the product cannot be repaired with the help of remote support, Lenovo either send you a return carton, with a prepaid label, to ship the failing product to the depot center for repair or send a courier to pick up your machine and deliver it to the depot center for repair. The target repair time, dependent on machine type, ranges from as little as 12 hours or up to 5 business days after receipt at the depot. Lenovo Accidental Damage ThinkPad Protection service covers all repairs and replacements for notebooks damaged by accidents. It is a cost-efficient service solution that helps reduce downtime and save a lot of dollars in repairs. With Accidental Damage Protection service, you can accurately predict and budget service costs for several years. Accidental Damage Protection Service however does not cover theft or loss, damage due to fire, acts of God, intentional damage or use in unsuitable operating environment.
