This magnifying lamp is just what I was looking for for my jewelry studio. It is small enough to place anywhere I need it, yet strongly built without being too heavy (like the one I used to have). The base keeps it balanced without it falling on my work and the magnifying glass is big enough for the type of work I use it for. This would also be great for a student's desk or a hobbyist. I am very pleased with the product.
