Attaches (hardware included) to underside to provide space for computer monitor and peripherals. Fits 1-1/8" thick worksurfaces. One of the last companies I worked for alway added this piece to every workstation for more space. I have been trying to find this item for the small space I have now and finally found it. It's a very good piece to add to any desk and will help one set up an egonomic workstation. And the price at ReStockIt.com is the cheapest I have found thus far.
